Leaderboards

Leaderboards represent another facet of the Netizen game. They are used to showcase the continuous progress of a variety of user activities within the game.

Leaderboards allow players to compare their achievements with that of other players around the world and to compete against each other in friendly competitions. This provokes the formation of communities and alliances, as players work together to climb the ranks and achieve their goals.

Leaderboards are used primarily by Netizen to recognize and reward specific user achievements through time. They will also allow certain players to earn trust and prestige, which will unlock access and perks within the Netizen game, as well as the recognition of other players. Netizen's gamification API has an advanced anti-cheat system that ensures fair play, making the leaderboards a credible way to showcase and measure your achievements.

Patron projects can also use leaderboards to showcase rankings specific to their communities and goals. They can choose to award prizes and perks to players that perform well on their leaderboards to add another layer of continuous gameplay for their communities.
